Jam Tuner (dev.franjamapps.tuner)

Last updated: 18 October 2026 · applies to version 1.0 and later

Summary

Jam Tuner does not collect, store or share any personal data on a server. There is no account, no advertising and no analytics. Nothing leaves your phone unless you share it yourself.

Microphone

The tuner, the looper, the intonation check and the timing calibration listen through the microphone. The sound is analysed on your phone, in memory, to find pitch and timing. It is not sent anywhere.

Recorded loops

A loop you record is kept in memory while you play with it. If you save it, it is written to the app's private storage on your phone with its name, tempo and recording date. You can delete any saved loop in the app, and uninstalling the app deletes them all.

Backing tracks

When you import a backing track, the app opens only the file you pick in Android's file picker and copies it to the app's private storage on your phone, with its speed and repeat settings. It is not uploaded anywhere. You can delete any track in the app, and uninstalling the app deletes them all.

Backups

When you back up your loops and tracks, the app writes one file to the place you pick in Android's file picker. It goes only there. Restoring reads a backup file you pick in the same way.

Sharing

When you share a loop, Android's share sheet sends a copy to the app you choose, such as a messaging or email app. From then on that app's privacy policy applies. Jam Tuner does not receive or keep anything about who you shared with.

Motion sensor, vibration and notifications

Data stored on your device

This stays on your phone. Android may include it in your own device backup if you have backups enabled. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

If a future feature changes how data is handled, this page will be updated before that version is released.
